Getting started
Your first session
Open voodoo, add a project, start an agent in it, and leave it running.
Open lu
voodooIt starts the daemon if none is running, then opens the terminal UI. An empty workspace shows the Voodoo night scene, Hex beside the wordmark, and a black hole in a sky of stars.
Add a project
Press a and give it the folder the project lives in. From a shell, voodoo add does the same, for the folder you are in or the one you name:
voodoo add ~/code/my-appStart a session
Press n and pick what to start in the project.
| Kind | What it is |
|---|---|
| Claude Code | An agent, reporting back what it is doing. |
| Codex | An agent. Its status always reads Ready, for now. |
| Shell | Your login shell. |
An agent starts in a git worktree of its own, on a branch of its own. A shell opens in the project’s own checkout.
Use it
⏎ opens the selected session, and from then on every key goes to it, so an agent’s own keys all work. Three are held back: ^q takes you back to the lists, and ^a is the leader.
Leave
q from the lists, or ^a d from inside a session. Your sessions keep running. Run voodoo again, tomorrow if you like, and they are where you left them, with what they said in the meantime replayed.
