The bridge

A list and a colour.

Start three agents in three tabs and within five minutes you don’t know which one is waiting on a permission prompt, which one finished, and which is still thinking. So you tab through all three and read the screens, every time.

voodoo replaces the reading with a list and a colour.

Working
Mid-turn. It wants nothing from anybody.
Needs you
Stopped on a question or a permission prompt. Amber is the only colour that means “come here”.
Finished
Done with its turn, and not read yet.
Ready
Nothing asked of it yet. Every shell, always.

What it does

Close the window. They keep working.

Every agent, one screen

Projects, the sessions in them, and the one you’re looking at, live. Amber is the only colour that means “come here”.

They outlive the window

A daemon holds every session’s terminal. Quit voodoo, close the laptop, come back tomorrow: they never stopped, and what they said is replayed.

It knows, it doesn’t guess

Status comes from Claude Code’s own hooks, not from reading its screen. Nothing is written into your project to get it.

Your agents, in your pocket

Pair your phone to answer questions, review work, and keep your agents moving from anywhere.

Agents never step on each other

Each one starts in a git worktree of its own, on a branch of its own. A worktree is reused once its work has landed, and never reset before.

One binary, nothing else

No tmux, no Node, no runtime to break. The daemon, terminal UI, and commands are all voodoo.

Install

Launch it.

One line installs voodoo on a Mac or a Linux machine, and voodoo update keeps it current. The installation page has the details.

  1. 1

    Install it

One binary in ~/.local/bin, and a daemon that starts when you log in. No sudo.

    curl -fsSL https://usevoodoo.dev/install | sh
  2. 2

    Open it

voodoo starts the daemon if none is running, then opens the terminal UI. An empty workspace shows the splash.

  3. 3

    Add a project

From a shell, or press a in the terminal UI. Then n starts a session in it: Claude Code, Codex, a shell, or NeoVim.

    voodoo add ~/code/my-app

Not built yet

What it doesn’t do yet.

Worth knowing before you lean on it.

  • The phone app is young. Slice one is built, on iOS and from source: pair, see your projects and sessions live, start one, type into it, restart and end it. Raise-to-talk, Live Activities, push and Android are next.
  • Worktrees are young. A setup script for fresh ones, picking unfinished work back up, and merging a pull request from voodoo are next.
  • Codex has no status, and no name of its own. It launches and resumes, but always reads Ready.
  • It doesn’t review what your agents write. An agent here has the same reach it has in your terminal.

What comes next, in order

  1. 01

    Worktrees, the rest

Ready a fresh worktree with a setup script, start an agent back in work that hasn’t landed, and merge its pull request from voodoo.

  2. 02

    Accounts

Several subscriptions used as one. A new session goes to the account with the most room, and one that hits a limit is offered the next.

  3. 03

    Questions and answers

Not only that an agent is waiting, but what it asked, shown under the pane and answered without opening it.

  4. 04

    The phone link, the rest

The protocol’s types generated from the daemon’s so the two can’t drift, and images carried over the link.

  5. 05

    The conversation, then a harness

The agents’ own transcripts folded into a chat a phone can draw, and after that a session view of our own.

  6. 06

    Install, the rest

The installer, releases, voodoo setup, voodoo update and starting at login are built. A Homebrew tap, a doctor command and Windows are next.

  7. 07

    NeoVim, deeper

A voodoo.nvim: your sessions inside NeoVim, a jump to what an agent changed, and e opening the file an agent is in.

  8. 08

    The mobile app, the rest

Raise-to-talk, Live Activities on the lock screen, push, Android, and a build you don’t have to make yourself.
